A shame more don't know this tune
This is back during those old ‘Flying Squirrels’ days. These were hilarious and special shows.
Paul Sweetland plays it better !
Is this on an album? Great one!
Likn this
This is such a great song. And anybody that's been around farming knows a lot of it is true
Unreal
I met Fred when I was 7, 10, 16, 26 and 31. Listened to him all my childhood. This one is one of my favorites.
Baby Fred!
What year and location is this?
Thanks for posting. I love Fred!
Such a great song.
Willie!
thanks for sharing this clip
I didnt know Fred was ever that young. lol
Breakin' my heart
Damn, thats a young Fred
Is it just me or does he kind of look like Timothy Olyphant with hair?
He's the man! Also check out Casey Chambers doing his tune "Freight Train".
I saw Kasey open for Lucinda Williams at Massey Hall, and she brought the house down when she played Freight Train.
I saw Kacey open for Lucinda at Roseland Ballroom in NYC, probably on that same tour. Kacey put on the better show that night.
I first heard this song when Charles De Lint covered it on a cold night up at Paddy's Pub in Ottawa South.
He still tells that joke. Saw him in Sisters Oregon Oct 6th 2012 and he told it again. Great song and great to watch these old videos.
Love this early stuff - only downside is it makes me miss Willie P. Bennett a whole lot more...
he's from somewhere in southern Ontario. I met him july 1st for canada day at his concert. Good show. Been a fan for a while.
How cool!
People are so superficial and stupid,,, just listen to the music and shut-up.
ahh, the song begins at 1:20
I thout you was going to sing so I dont like it sorry.
I dig it !.... : )
Is he CANADIAN? I saw him on Letterman, and I thought he was sexy. But now I hear a Canadian accent...Not so sexy anymore. It's like they say about most men: "Lie there and look good, and try not to speak." :-) Most men are better that way. Silent and handsome. Or singing and not speaking.
hell we miss you willie and skip
his best song
hes so young here, the man still hasnt stopped his manic touring to this day.
man, Fred's aged alot in 12 years
I dont know what your problem is I didnt mean it in a bad way. Another reason i made the comment was because he's all dressed up and no cowboy hat So go fuck your self Dusche Bag.
Keep posting stuff guys, THANKS
Hes a modern day (Hick) Elvis
hello, 11 years later!
